Meet the Founder

Naomi Maza (she/her/ella) is a licensed clinical social worker in Arizona. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in California, she is a proud first generation American. She is also a proud first generation college graduate. She moved to San Diego and graduated with two degrees in social work and in criminal justice, with a minor in Spanish. In her undergraduate program, she worked with school children and families of divorce and military backgrounds. Naomi worked with adults in the criminal justice system too. Naomi then moved to Arizona and received her graduate degree in social work at Arizona State University. She has experience in the foster care system and medical setting.

Formal trainings include EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and EXRP (exposure and response prevention). Naomi also has her certification in perinatal mental health with advanced training in perinatal loss. She also has advanced training in immigration evaluations. In addition to formal trainings, Naomi has lived experience with her own mental health.

Naomi is committed to lifelong learning and supporting people of all walks of life. She is constantly striving to help others in their mental health journeys.

Naomi is constantly out in the community, whether it be visiting a local coffee shop or learning a new hobby (currently running and growing basil), and at the same time, she is a self-proclaimed introvert. Recharging to her is lounging around with her tuxedo cat, listening to Spanish songs, binging the latest shows with her husband, or cooking Peruvian food.
