Clinical Therapy Services
“The sun doesn’t ask for permission to rise, and neither should you. Every morning is a revolution against the dark.”

Unfortunately, we do not accept medical insurance. This allows us to maintain greater flexibility, privacy, and clinical independence in the care provided. While insurance can be helpful in some settings, there are several reasons why some people choose to receive services outside of insurance networks.
Choosing not to use insurance allows for greater privacy, as insurance companies typically require a mental health diagnosis and access to certain clinical information in order to authorize treatment. Private pay also allows therapy to be guided by your individual needs rather than insurance requirements or session limits. Some clients may be able to request partial reimbursement through their insurance provider using an out-of-network superbill.
We are more than happy to provide you with referrals to other mental health providers that may accept your insurance. You can also call your insurance and request a list of providers that may accept your insurance.

After our complimentary consultation and after setting up the first appointment, you will be sent paperwork for your review and signature through Simplepractice. Our first session together can feel like an interview, but bear with me. It is so that we can learn more about your mental health and how we can work together. We create a treatment plan together in the second session, and we start doing the hard work.
